Contacting your legislators :Remember
one of the most effective things you can do is get to know the aides of own
legislators-educate the aides and you educate the legislators and the aides are
paid to help their constituents. Get to know the aides and let them know you
personal stories- on whatever the subject. These are powerful people and CAN
and DO help.

Media:
People need to know what is happening in our prisons and
they just don't-only the few that are directly involved in the debacle
know- so the most important thing to do is to write and email the media.
Over the next months we will be giving lots of sample letters-
attacking the problem from different angles. we must make the DOC
uncomfortable or there will be no changes except for the worse- the
public is listening for now- help us get accurate information to them by
weighing on with your point of view.
here are a few emails but your local paper, facebook etc are probably best.
